Our Story

2003

In the fall of 2003, God placed a vision in the heart of Karen Rydwansky to plant a church in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Church planting and Lead Pastoring were not areas she aspired to, but her love for doing what God asked of her superseded her own desires. A small core group was formed to pray and seek the Lord’s direction for this church.

2004

In January of 2004, God established Crossroads Worship Center. The first service began in South Shore Christian Academy’s gymnasium with about forty people. The vision became a reality, and Rev. Karen C. Rydwansky was officially installed as Lead Pastor in May of 2004.

2005

Christmas Eve 2005 was our first service in our new location at 593 Washington Street next to HoneyBaked Ham. We were ecstatic to have our own building and endless opportunities to grow. Growth groups, youth, and children’s ministries began to soar.  After expanding to 3 services each weekend we knew we needed to find a new building.

2013

God’s hand was indeed upon us. We were able to acquire the former Trinity Episcopal church property at 241 Broad Street. After several months of renovations, we dedicated the building to the Lord on October 20, 2013.
