Crossroads Kids is a place where each child is valued and where they have the capability of experiencing God in profound ways. The connection begins as children see the glory, wonder and beauty of Jesus. Whether it is through worship, lessons, games or talking to their peers.
Whenever there are five Sundays in a month, all classes will meet in the Fellowship Hall on the 5th Sunday for a joint Children’s Church session.
AGE GROUPS
Baby Land
Newborn – Walking Infants
Our Baby Land provides a peaceful, safe, warm, loving environment where the babies can have their needs met through song, play and care. It brings the presence of God into the room. Filled with many age-appropriate toys, and staffed with caring adults, parents are welcome to leave their little ones in the best care available, while they enjoy the service.
Toddlers
Infants walking independently – 2 years 9 months
Our toddler class is curated for the inquisitive mind- longing to explore the world around them. With a variety of options to encounter, kids can join in weekly circle time, games, and songs that reinforce their Biblical identity: each one is created in the image of God.
Pre-Kindergarten
2 years 9 months – Kindergarten
Our preschool class is known as the most fun room at Crossroads! Our volunteers love to shower kids with imaginative play, rich Bible stories, and partner activities. Music time is a staple as kids learn the joy of worshiping their Savior in fun and exciting ways.
Adventures
Kindergarten – Grade 2
This age group is beginning to comprehend right and wrong and want to know what Christians should and should not do. It’s a wonderful time to share the great stories of the Bible with them, and provide them with opportunities to respond to God and what they are learning in His Word. There are opportunities for artistic expression through a variety of methods such as drawing, painting, coloring with crayons, molding clay, cutting and engaging with other materials.
Junior Explorers
Grade 3 – Grade 5
Our elementary program is jam-packed with fun activities, challenges, and opportunities for them to grow their faith and friendships. Each week, kids uncover a part of the Big God Story – God’s redemption plan for humankind. Kids are given a chance to dig deeper in the Bible through monthly scripture memorization, multimedia lessons, and mid-week programming for a variety of ages and topics.
Middle School
Grades 6- Grade 8
Middle school kids are just now beginning to grow their own faith apart from their parents. They are starting to realize that they can make their own decisions. Many of them are often bombarded with messages about their self-image that will shape the rest of their lives. By modeling dedication for God’s Word; creating a consistent routine; teaching the Bible text; connecting the lesson to real life (their real lives!); making it interactive, interesting, and fun; and praying together, we are helping them grow in their knowledge of and love for God’s Word.
